Do you have the right stuff?
AG has a ‘can do’ culture that starts and ends with people – Hire people for who they are, not what they can do. People can learn jobs, but do they have the customer service gene? We hire selectively. We train and then we offer opportunities to acquire new skills or groom people for advancement. It’s a family-owned business. We work here every day and want everyone to take pride in AG and our collective accomplishments. Talented people have found a home at AG.
AG is a fair and equitable employer with competitive pay and benefits, opportunities for learning and advancement, all in a respectful working environment. We are committed to providing employment accommodation in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. At the moment, we do not have any vacancies. Please check periodically or follow us on Linked in. Questions? Contact hr@astleygilbert.com

Years with AG: 25 years
Customer service philosophy: “AG recognizes that our strength is operating as a team – always aiming to accommodate the client at every transaction. From quoting, to production, to billing, we look at the total customer experience.”
Best business advice you can impart to new hires: “Love what you do and you’ll never look at the clock. Treat people the way you want to be treated.”
Biggest work challenge through the pandemic: “I’m fortunate to be a able to work from home, but it’s pretty lonely and I miss the daily interactions with staff. Our first challenge was getting invoices out to customers. It seemed like overnight we had to redirect invoices and then switch to emailing them. Everyone’s been patient and we’ve found a way to make things work.”
Wish for 2021: “A quick recovery on every front – visiting family and friends, getting people back to work and small business back on its feet. I was worried about young kids and the strain of all this, but kids are resilient and I‘m holding onto that.”
